Olivia! I have a big crush on Sheila Heti and have a feeling it will be a re-read for me too. I hope you’re going to take Satya’s dream seminar! I’m looking forward to getting to know better this whole dimension that I’ve honestly avoided for a long time….
I can generally only handle two books at once, a fiction and nonfiction, so not much of a stack. 🤪 I’m inspired by this though—what determines how you go back and forth between them all? Mood, time of day, etc.?
Btw I recently read Motherhood per recommendation from the QL retreat!
I don't have a strategy necessarily. For one thing, I'm not the closest reader so I don't stress about reading super thoroughly. I tend to want to read one before bed, maybe the one that's a bit easier, or comforting. Then in the mornings when I have the most energy I do around 20 minutes from each. Then anywhere I'm traveling, I'll usually take the one I'm connecting with most!
Honestly it was a challenging read for me, as it’s a pretty different style from what I normally read and the question of motherhood is an unsettling one that takes up a fair amount of my headspace these days (hence why I read it lol). But I’m glad I read it, I found myself bookmarking a couple passages! And I think noticing my emotional responses to it gave me some valuable information.
Motherhood by Heti is one of the few books I finished and immediately started rereading. Such an important and moving philosophical book.
Love your current “stack” and their shared dialogue. Also love your dreams springing forth… welcome to the dream diary world.

What did you think of Motherhood? I love.
